gupnp-vala software package provides GObject-based library for UPnP (Vala bindings), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gupnp-vala
gupnp-vala is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gupnp-vala package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gupnp-vala *
You will get with gupnp-vala package name, version, architecture and description in a table
